On Tuesday, 14th September, our school is going to celebrate Australia Reading Hour. At 10am, we're asking all of our students to stop what they are doing, pick up a book and read it! If we all do this, we can all be reading a book together at the same time!
We're asking students to choose an Australian book that means a lot to you, think about why it matters so much to you and send in a little comment about this with a photo or video of you reading this book. Click here https://narrabri-p.schools.nsw.gov.au/contact-us.html for sharing options.
On Tuesday morning, we will share a link where we will go on a virtual excursion to the Sydney Opera House, hosted by Oliver Phammavanh with hilarious cameos by favourite kids book creators, this event is for primary school students and features entertaining mini-classes on how to draw with Andrew Joyner, how to tell your own story with Michael Wagner, how to read the stars in our night skies with Professor Lisa Harvey-Smith, plus commentary by Adrian Beck and Nicole Hayes on all things books, footy and sport. All you will need is the internet to enjoy this virtual excursion.
This will be something different to do in our last week of term, and should be fun and interesting!
